For the family of Zeus ♥️

On January 17th, 2018 there was a car accident in Sebringville, On. The driver from one of the vehicles was air lifted and taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. His 3 dogs that were with him at the time and whom all just had major surgeries at a London vet office got loose.
Roxy (mom to Zeus & Sylvia) was secured right at the accident scene, but Sylvia and Zeus were so traumatized & fearful they ran. Lost Paws Inc got a call from OPP asking for their assistance in helping search for Sylvia and Zeus. They did an all hands on to their team and headed to the area to help immediately. Around 4 pm that day, Sylvia was found curled up in a local garage and was secured safely. Zeus was still missing. Lost Paws, Stratford-Perth Humane Society, OPP and the Sebringville/Stratford Community worked together endlessly day and night for just over 2 days searching for Zeus.
On day 3, in the early morning of Friday January 19th a call came in from Jake, a local volunteer firefighter. He had just seen Zeus running in a field. While on the phone with him he kept eyes on Zeus while the Lost Paws Inc team & local volunteers got the area surrounded. At one point, the Humane Society brought Zeus’s sister Sylvia to the area to help coax him to safety to no avail. Zeus was just too terrified. Finally, after 2 hrs Zeus went into a colvert to hide & rest where the team was able to keep him contained until the Humane Society arrived & were able to secure him safely.
Zeus was extremely wet & cold, hungry, tired & needed to see a vet immediately. HS ensured Zeus received immediate care.
The dogs are now in great care at HS however my prayers for a full quick recovery for them persists. I am especially praying for the family and will be respecting their privacy as I only have direct contact with a very close family friend who helped the team so much in the search of Zeus.
At this time there is no update on the owner of Zeus, Sylvia & Roxy. His injuries originally stated as being life threatening are very critical. His wife travelled 10 hrs the very morning of the accident from their home near Kapuskasing, On. to be with him & is very grateful for the team effort of all in securing the dogs to safety while she & her family focus on her husbands healing & recovery. As you can imagine being so far from home there are surely many financial expenses on top of not being able to work at this time. Accommodations, food, travel for the family are just the beginning, along with medical & daily care of the dogs. The latest update received is the dogs are doing great however Zeus will need a great deal longer to heal his paws after running through fields for 50 hrs as well as the trauma all 3 pups have experienced along with being scared & away from their family indefinitely.
Roxy, Sylvia and Zeus are in the best hands with Stratford-Perth Humane Society. Our goal is to lighten any financial burden, remove as much stress & worry as possible so they can pour their energy into a full recovery for this man & have the family reunited. Prayer at this time is needed most however a monetary donation, no matter how small to help the family would be greatly appreciated. Anyone wishing to help with the direct care of these 3 dogs can make a donation to the Stratford-Perth Humane Society specifically for Zeus, Sylvia & Roxy with a request that the funds can be carried forward for their aftercare once they do reunite with their loved ones.
