Brother, son, father; Joshua loved always

In Loving Memory of Joshua Seavert

Joshua Seavert, 32, passed away January 29th, 2019. He was shot and killed in the early morning before the rest of the world was awake. He is the father of three children: Aliana, Joshua Jr., and John. Joshua was born in 1986 and spent his childhood years growing up in Oklahoma. At 18 he left to join the Army, where he spent over four years defending our country. He loved his family and his friends. He never met a soul he couldn’t befriend.

Joshua is my uncle, but he was always more than that to me. He grew up in my home, and only being seven years older than me, he was always more a brother than an uncle. He teased my sister and me mercilessly, threatened to beat up the boys that broke our hearts, and was always a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to our woes. Even after I grew up and moved away, he continued to be those things for me no matter what was happening in his life. This is just my simple story of who he was, but everyone who knew him has similar stories. If Joshua brought you into his life, you were no longer friends; you became apart of his family.

His wife, Amber, needs help to put together funeral costs. We are currently waiting to see if they qualify for the Crime Victims Fund that will cover those costs. If we qualify for the Crime Victims Fund, any donations provided will go directly towards his three young children in this time of need. Our family would greatly appreciate any help we can get, and thank you immensely for all the love and support.
