For Mama Suzara-Fried

Hi all!

They are some of the greatest parents to have and to look up to in terms of well being and how to enjoy life. But Life has its way of reminding us just how precious and delicate it is.

Although we've been pretty open about this chapter in our lives, as tough as its been, we have been able to hold it together. But it's about to get just a little bit tougher.

We're a very tight family, and have been taught to support each other down to the thinnest thread.
It hurts us, knowing how hard they are fighting. How painful it is, and not to ignore.. expensive.

We still have faith and hope.

I guess im reaching out finally and asking for support now, from the people who know and love Jeff and my mom. We already appreciate all the love and support given the past 2 years, and we are so blessed!

You might know her as Maria, Tita Nitz, Nitang, Ate Nitz, Mama Suzara etc. But my brothers and sisters, and know her as our Mama. Our rock.
She was first diagnosed with HER2- positive breast cancer in 2017. Her husband, Jeff, was also diagnosed at the same time, but with stage 4 prostate cancer. They joke about being such great partners because they do everything together.
As Jeff undergone suggested hormone treatments, my mother underwent a lumpectomy with months of chemotherapy. This resulted in remission for a year!
Our family and friends all so thankful for the amount of emotional support we were receiving. We've all just been so very happy to know that my mother will be able to get her life and health back.
Unfortunately, in January 2019, we were informed that the cancer had returned. This time, aggressive.
She was called for an immediate double mastectomy.
After undergoing the double mastectomy, due to her weakened immune system, she had complications with healing and had to go in for another surgery just 2 weeks after the mastectomy.
The next step into her treatment is to undergo chemotherapy again. She dreaded this. We all did.
Once a week for 3 months - minimum. If all goes as expected, after 3 months she will have to receive chemotherapy once every 3 weeks for a year.
I learned that even with their insurance, each chemo session will cost them a $500 co-pay.  This is a harsh reality that has been putting stress onto my parents. As a family we all help as much as we can...
I wish I can take all of this away from them.

I understand times are hard for everyone. And if you are at all in no way able to donate, we understand from the bottom of our hearts, please feel free to show them emotional support/motivation.

All this time, Jeff has not once stopped working in order to support her.
If anyone is interested in Carpet & Restoration Services, please keep our dad, Jeff Fried, in mind. He runs a family business, Countywide Carpet and Restoration.

Thank you dearly ❤️ God bless you all
