For Jeremy's medical expenses

Donation protected
For all my friends, family and acquaintances:

I am asking for financial assistance for my son, Jeremy Larson, who is dealing with a grave medical issue. Many of you know Jeremy, my third son. He is my musical prodigy, my gifted musician and a huge piece of my heart. Jeremy is a hard-working young man who has given often to others, and who never ever asks for help.

Jeremy graduated from Lewis and Clark High School where he was a large part of the music program. He went on to Eastern Washington University where he earned a double Bachelor's Degree, and then finally moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he attended Western Michigan University, attaining his Masters Degree in French Horn Performance.

Just a few months ago, Jeremy moved to Houston, Texas. It has been a huge financial hardship for him to settle in and try to find Orchestras, Churches, and University recitals with which to make a living. He is hustling hard to earn a living but it is not very easy starting over in a new location.

While I was last visiting with him in April of 2018, he told me that he was not feeling well, with sharp abdominal pains and other symptoms that sounded serious. I advised him to go see a doctor. Unfortunately, he did not have medical insurance due to the instability of his income and he could not afford the doctor visit. Now that he is in Texas and has not found a regular job to supplement his income while searching for performance or teaching gigs, medical insurance has been a huge issue. Jeremy ended up going to the urgent care clinics twice and an ER visit. As you know, uninsured medical visits are quite costly. During the ER visit, the doctor told him that he needed an appointment with a specialist. When the doctor tells you “I can’t say it’s CANCER, but you need to see a specialist immediately!” it can be quite scary and indicative of the upcoming battle. Jeremy now finally has medical insurance but it doesn’t cover a lot. His first appointment with a specialist is on January 8th. Hopefully we will find out shortly if he has Cancer or not. We are hoping and praying that it is something more treatable, like an ulcer or something. Regardless, he is now facing a truckload of medical expenses that he simply cannot meet, even with his recently obtained insurance. With already owing more than a thousand dollars in medical expenses, plus the new expenses coming very shortly, Jeremy is in an impossible situation.

To add to his tale of woe, he recently found out that his car is having mechanical problems due to the inevitable rust from being in Michigan’s environment. He has mechanic expenses over $2500. He absolutely needs to have a reliable car to get to and from his many performance obligations.

I am asking all those who know Jeremy, and all the friends and family in our ever expanding circle to please help my son. If you can spare anything, even $5, it would be a help. If you cannot afford financial assistance of any sort, please spread my appeal to all of your family and friends. I will post on facebook but I don’t use any other social media devices. Please share my son’s plight every way that you can so that he may possibly receive the funds he needs to tend to his medical (and transportation) needs. Jeremy would never ask for this assistance himself, and I know I will get in trouble with him for making this appeal but...I am his mother. How can I not? If he has the funds, he will go see the doctors. If not, he simply can't go and that terrifies me beyond belief. Please help.
