Courtney is a 34 year old loving mother to two young girls aged 2 and 5, loving wife to Mark and a dedicated Registered Nurse helping those that suffer debilitating illnesses. Like all dedicated mothers Courtneys' only dream has been to support and watch her family grow.
After spending the last 18 months fighting stage 3 breast cancer, Courtney was hoping the many and life changing treatments, test, surgeries and appointments were coming to an end. She was looking forward to getting her life back on track, spending quality time with her 2 gorgeous daughters and returning to work.
A few days before Christmas Courtney was given the devastating news that her breast cancer has returned as metastatic or secondary cancer in her bones. Metastatic Breast Cancer is the only breast cancer that actually kills. It is the only breast cancer that there is no end or cure. We have seen the impact that this terrible disease has on her, her family and her gorgeous girls who are not old enough to understand why mum is sick.
Courtney has been off work now since her initial diagnosis. Courtney will need ongoing treatment and investigations making it difficult to return to work any time soon. This gofundme account is to help support Courtney and her family during this difficult time. Cancer is a traumatic disease that effects not only the sufferer but also destroys families and dreams.
