For Amayah and her family

My friends daughter was in a horrific accident and I’m stepping to help them out. Here’s an update to share. She’s come a long way in a short time. It years and a lifetime away from the finish line.
Here is the story..
Last year their oldest daughter had her life changed forever after someone took gasoline to a fire.
Amayah was 13, a sweet innocent young lady with a beautiful bright future. But with one decision, her life was altered and changed forever.
Amayah caught fire and was air lifted to Loyola, where Doctors and nurses rushed to her rescue and saved her life, while in a coma.
Since that day Amayah has had over 8 life saving and reconstruction surgeries.
Amayah was grafted over 50% of her body and has been enduring endless hours of rehabilitation and therapy.
Her education, family and life were all put on hold. The trauma set in months ago, creating a hurricane of heartache, despair and pain. People have come and gone. The day runs into the night and night into the day often.
It’s as if they’re walking in the clouds.
After Amayah was released from Loyola the family learned that several doctors were not a provider covered within their insurance provider.
They found themselves becoming her advocate in every way, searching for new medical care. Surprisingly, Chicagoland was not an option for the reconstruction Specilist Amayah needs. The family learned that California, Cincinnati, Texas and Boston were the choices moving forward. Since learning Boston has been the leader in the most recent advancements our choice was clear. Amayah was going to Boston.
Within the last few months they’ve transferred her medical care to Boston Massachusetts. They’re ending this year with a 4th trip to Boston for Amayah’s 9th surgery.
Northwest Indiana isn’t exactly a hop skip or jump to Boston and the expenses have accumulated tremendously.
Initially the outreach of support from friends, family and school was incredible!
The community really stepped up when they needed it! For that I know The Myszak’s will always be grateful!
With the holiday season approaching I’m stepping up to help and I hope you can too!Thank you in advance and God bless you all during the holidays Season and into the new year.

Much Love to all those in need
Thank you for helping out!
