Aid for Sri Lanka’s Bombing Victim’s

Donation protected
What has and is happening: On Easter Sunday, 8 bombs went off in the Island of Sri Lanka, and since then, bomb blasts are still happening, the number has exceeded from 8, with many bombs being found and diffused each day. The Easter bombings took place at St. Anthony's Shrine, St. Sebastian's Church, the Shangri-La hotel, the Kingsbury hotel, the Cinnamon Grand hotel, the Zion Evangelical Church, a guest house near the national zoo, and a Dematagoda housing complex. Sri Lanka has already been through almost 30 years of civil war and genocide, and now after almost a decade, bombings have taken place again, spurring tension, killing over 320 people, and injuring over 500 people from the ages of infancy to elderly. Hospitals are becoming overcrowded and supplies are running out with the fear of going outdoors increasing every day. Not only is the Island in need of money, but is also in need of blood donations for the severely injured; if you are residing in Sri Lanka, please consider blood donations too.

Who am I? My name is Prashanthi Rajanikanth, a Sri Lankan born, and I' am a grade 12 student in Alberta, Canada. You may contact me for any questions regarding this at [email redacted], or my partner Kharishma Sundararajan at [email redacted]. I am choosing to reach out for donations not only because Sri Lanka happens to be my home country of where I lived until 2008, but also because this crisis is not receiving as much global attention and help as it should, especially if the problem has still not been solved. This had also occurred in the past with the island's almost 30 years of civil war, where much of the world was not even aware that a genocide was being taken place every day, and with no attention came no help. This can be prevented now with what we donate.
My beneficiary is my father, his name is Rajanikanth Chitravelu, he is from Red Deer, Alberta too. Since I'm not 18 yet, he will be withdrawing the money on my behalf. To reach him, he can be contacted by +1 (403) 5055644
Distributing the funds: The money donated (some will be taken away by gofundme) will go towards the medical expenses of the victims, and towards purchasing emergency materials for overcrowded hospitals; I'm in contact with Doctor Sumitha Muthukrishnan, a direct hospital employee at the Asiri medical hospital of Colombo, whom will give the donations for the medical expenses herself to victims and their families directly, she is my most trusted way of dispersing the funds. Another way that the funds will be given is through the Colombo General hospital OR to Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo who states in an official letter that all donations for the relief work "will be acknowledged with an official receipt." If you  have any questions for the Colombo General Hospital, you may contact 0771999621 for Amanda Amarawansha or 0772512374 for Akash, and for questions towards the Archbishop of Colombo, you may contact  [email redacted]
I'm not choosing to work with any organizations because I have personally heard that the donations that we send do not get delivered properly and that some are taken for administration first. The best way to avoid this is to have officials there who can give donations to the affected victims themselves, and from this, we can receive a reflection, and through the Archbishop's program, we receive a receipt.

Thank you.
