There is a certain reputation that millennials have gotten... for being more interested in what an employer can do for them instead of what they can do for their employer.
But then along came ADAM.
Adam was not born with the proverbial 'silver spoon in his mouth'. While he might not have had all the financial advantages that some of our kids have, he was was raised with the guidance and love from a strong single mom. Kudos to you, mom.
In the 2 years we have worked with Adam at Home Again, our entire team has grown to love him...no... ADORE him. We have watched him grow from an inexperienced kid, to a man capable of leading others. In fact, he is our warehouse manager on Saturdays.
He is a kid who does not call in sick, comes to work on time and with a willingness to do his job and do it well. Even when he does not have enough money for lunch.
So it was was our GREAT JOY when Adam announced that he had been accepted to ECU, a goal he had set for himself, after putting himself through Cape Fear Community College.

I told Adam that I was going to do this...and he said 'you cannot understand how much I would appreciate that.'
