Flying Our Angel Home

From our entire family we say thank you for the continued prayers and support shown over the past couple of days. Alyssa is only 18 years old and was involved in a vehicle accident on the way to Florida with friends after another car hit them.  She has the most beautiful soul and contagious smile and the world will not be the same without her.
The doctors met with us yesterday as a family and explained that by all standards Alyssa is no longer with us and they are artificially keeping her alive. They explained that it was time for the family to make a decision. In the state of Florida they would no longer allow her to be treated due to the circumstances and results of her test.  We discussed it and felt that if we had no choice in saving her during this tragedy, we could allow her to continue to live on by becoming an organ donor.  Alyssa has the potential to save five to seven other families with her organs. This allows her to help save someone else from these same devastating circumstances that we are experiencing.  She will require an escort in order to be flown home which will be her mother and her Granny.  This will most likely take place on Friday since they are scheduling the procedures for the donation. We have setup a gofundme to help with cost for the flight, the services not covered, as well as any remaining balances for her burial. We appreciate any support for our family during this unfortunate time. Thank you for you continued love, prayers and support.
