Flying and Heart Foundations

Hi I'm Alex,
I would like to ask for your help in supporting two amazing charities, the British Heart Foundation, and the Geoffrey de Havilland Flying Foundation (GDHFF), both of which I am raising funds for, split 50/50 each way.
I was recently fortunate enough to be awarded an incredible opportunity from the GDHFF, This September I will be continuing to learn to fly. The charity aims to make flying more accessible to those who cannot afford it, especially those with the aim of pursuing flying as a career. With the cost of a private license costing upwards of £8000, and commercial licenses over ten times that value, I believe this initiative is crucial for young cadets.
For this I am incredible grateful, and owing to this scholarship being in the name the RAF's most successful night fighter pilot in World War Two (John Cunningham), I am undertaking an overnight bike ride which is just over 100 miles in distance.
This is my attempt to honour the memory of those who flew missions of up to 10 hours in the pitch black over enemy territory. This scholarship also links two people who have been incredibly influential on my life, my grandfathers, both of whom served directly with Geoffrey de Havilland and John Cunningham respectively. This links to the further drive that I have for this charity ride, and where the connection to British Heart foundation arises.
Sadly, both my Grandmothers have passed away recently due to heart disease, additionally several family members have had lifesaving heart operations, including my sister, who at 14 had to go through surgery for a cardiac condition. Huge progress has been made both in treating and diagnosing underlying heart problems, no small part due to the work done at the British Heart Foundation. That said the evidence that there is still work to be done is clear to see, so I urge you to donate to this amazing charity.
