Fly Nick to New Haven

Hi!  My name is Nick Amstutz.  I am currently a junior at Chaminade Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio.  I am actively involved in both the Honors and Advanced Placement academics programs as well as Varsity Athletics (Cross Country) and Performing Arts (vocals and musical theater).  I am a member of a few after school clubs and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society.

Recently, I began doing college visits and fell in love with The University of Notre Dame.  I hope to attend there after I complete my senior year.  In an effort to help me get there, one of my teachers, Mrs. MaryBeth Marshall, nominated me for the QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program.  I completed the application process and much to my happiness and surprise, I was selected as one of 3,986 College Prep Scholars out of 11,628 applicants!  



As you can see, as a result, I am invited, along with a parent, to attend the 2018 National College Admissions Conference at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut on July 1.  I am trying to raise money to take my mother and I to this once in a lifetime event as finances are otherwise impossible for her and I to get there.    This is an amazing opportunity for me to meet and mingle with many like-minded ambitious scholars and admissions counselors from 40 of the top universities in the nation!  I will also be able to receive guidance from counselors on furthering my QuestBridge application process as I move on to the College Match Scholarship Application where I will have the possibility of receiving a full scholarship to one of these 40 universities who will be represented at this event.

Please help me raise $1000 so that I may attend this event.  The funds request will be used as follows:

Economy Rental Car: $177.00
Hotel: $220
Food: $206.40

I would be forever grateful to anyone who would show support towards my goal of getting to New Haven, Connecticut this summer for the 2018 National College Admission Conference.  I have worked very hard throughout my whole life to be a well-rounded student through academics, service, athletics, and extracurriculars.  I have a dream--and that dream is to be a Notre Dame Fighting Irish!  I don't want stop now!  My deep and overwhelming gratitude will be forever yours for supporting me in my journey.
