Fly Kicks For Kids Foundation

Deral Boykin & Major Williams have partnered to launch an amazing non-profit concept (Fly Kicks For Kids). The premise for the creation of FKFK is very simple. It will allow them to use their influence and resources to empower young boys and girls ages 5-17 in low-income communities. Data shows that by connecting with young boys/girls and teens early on, it statistically raises the rate of success to go further in their education and to positively contribute to our society. Both founders can attest that the impact of love and assistance through family, coaches, mentors, and organizations similar to Fly Kicks For Kids had a profound effect on their lives. As adults, the two have figured out the best way to engage with the youth was to form this amazing platform that will build up and enrich kids lives through sneakers. Both founders have already been engaged in community outreach individually having given both time and money to various charitable causes, but as a community and collectively we can push even farther. With the help of our families, friends, colleagues, and companies that would like to collaborate with a great cause, we can take FKFK to another level. We need to raise funds, along with shoe donations for operational, event production & product cost. Our first pop up event will be held at Cool Kicks 7565 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, California on Saturday, August 25th from 12 pm-5 pm. Our first give away will be Thursday September 27th at Cleveland Elementary in Pasadena. We will gift sneakers to 120 kids K-6 at this event. It will be attended by councelman Tryon Hampton among other community leaders for inspiration. Our goal is to do at least 4-5 give aways before the end of 2018 partnering with Youth Network Services(Boys group Homes), My Friends House Foundation, Kipp Scholar Academy & the LA Rams.
