"There is a fight between good and evil brewing along the South Texas border with Mexico. Only one man stands in the way of the evil-doers plans, but in order for him to stop evil he eventually must adopt their ways to vanquish them."
I believe that we have a project that is so good, and am working with actors that are of such good talent, that we can and eventually will produce an overall great show.
In an effort to continue the great work, I wish to ask for your contribution to this fund in order that I may provide first to the actors themselves some incentive, either by providing food, drinks, or even gas money, to maybe in some ideal future even be able to pay these actors and staff at some rate, even if it is below what they should be earning.
With that in mind this fund, therefore, has shifted into a fund for the talent bringing the story to life. I have realized that although I may be working with below standard equipment, I have the most important elements in place: gifted actors, a great story, and "ganas" or the will to work hard and make this project a reality.
Funds raised are intended for production costs of this series which will be shared through The Fluid Chicano YouTube channel and through the website www.thefluidchicano.com .
Equipment needed: Boom mic, lighting equipment, sound equipment, editing software.
Other expenses: Daily on-set needs like food and drinks for actors. Permits. Rentals.
Funds are needed as soon as possible to improve the quality of the productions. However, the work continues with or without the equipment on the existing resources that we have.
We wish to produce great works of art even though we ourselves may not be great artists. But we believe that by organizing our efforts and doing what we love we can encourage and inspire everyone and anyone to pick up their camera, pen, paintbrush and make the art they have always wanted to make. Just go with it.
