Flooded Out Wisconsin Family



I’m writing on behalf of our friends Matt and Samara Safarik, who live in Verona, Wisconsin.

Matt and Samara suffered severe flooding due to 2-3 ft of floodwater, and follow-on discoveries of rotting wood in walls, indicating prior unreported problems in their recently purchased house.

Samara lacks even running water in her kitchen!



Recently moved into their home from a rental, they had not unpacked everything yet, and those unpacked treasures were mostly destroyed in the flood.

They are now facing $30,00 to $50,000 in costs AFTER their Flood insurance has paid out.  Their fiscal needs are immediate and overwhelming.



Samara is working at United Way of Dane County,  Wisconsin,  daily making a difference for other flood victims. 

A good number of friends have come forward to help, though the financial burden is still terribly high.
