Flood Relief for Anna and Norman Wagenschutz

Hello, my name is Jack and I am Anna and Norman’s son in law. On Thursday, September 19th, Imelda dumped tons of water all over Houston and it’s surrounding areas, including New Caney/ Roman Forest, where my In Laws live.
At the time, my Mother in law, Anna, and her mother in law (our grandmother, Norman’s mother) Nene were at the house when the water started rising, coming in from the cracks of the doors, and eventually keeping them captive in the house with their 2 cats and 2 dogs.
Thankfully all were eventually rescued and taken to a family friends house, which is where they are now. My father in law has yet to be home - he went to work early that morning and hasn’t been home. He is currently in a motel because there isn’t a way home, not that there’s a home to come home to...
I’m starting this Go Fund Me page to help them with financials as much as possible. Not only did they lose their house, their electronics, all of their clothes, shoes, toiletries, pots, pans, PICTURES, important documents, etc IN the house, but Anna’s RAV4 AND Nene’s Tacoma is completely under water, which means they are totaled and without vehicles. The goal that I have set ISN’T going to come anywhere near what they are going to need just to get back on their feet, but it’s a start. It’s heartbreaking knowing that they don’t have a pair of shoes, change of clothes, or even their own bed to lay down in as of right now.
In time, things will get better, but they can get better faster through the help and generosity of family, friends, and community.
