The Flip Flop Farms Farm Store

Flip Flop Farms was started by Jon and me in 2011.  We started with a small market garden and 10 hens and began selling at our local farmer's market.   Fast forward to 2014, and we have a herd of 30 meat goats, 50 laying hens, 4 hogs (at the minute), a garden 4 times the size of the original garden and a greenhouse.  We've done all of this on a shoestring budget and lots of manual labor.  We obtained our meat handlers license and began offering our pasture raised pork this year.  Beginning in January, we will add goat meat!  One thing we've wanted to add to our offerings is value added products.  What is that??  Well,  it's jams, jellies, breads, cakes, etc.  I love to bake (and am told I'm good at it), but can not set up a certified kitchen in our home because of our beloved Lucy (Bassett hound).  She certainly comes first, so no kitchen for me.  But, this Spring we got the opportunity to rent a building to convert into our certified kitchen.  We've been renting since April, but progress is quite slow, as we have to do things as funds become available.    And plans have gone beyond just certified kitchen to produce my products.  We want to actually use it as a storefront so our customers can come there to pick up their items and to shop year round.  We will also be able to offer products that we don't produce from other local farmers.  All of these plans take the almighty dollar.  That's where y'all come in.  We are here asking for your help to make this part of our dream a reality.  There is no such thing as too small of a donation, as every dollar gets us that much closer to our goal.  We have some equipment already.....new flooring, sinks, stoves.....but we still need refrigeration/freezer units, display cabinets, lighting, etc.   We are so excited to get this going, and thank you in advance for your generosity.
