Fleeing to Safe House

I have started this campaign to benefit a dear friend of mine who is fleeing domestic violence. I realize we are asking you all to trust in a situation with little to no details. This person’s anonymity is crucial to their ability to safely flee their current circumstances.  Obviously divulging too many details, including this person’s identity, will further and significantly endanger both their wellbeing and ability to escape.

We both have agonized on how to address this. It comes down to trusting the process and that your donation is in fact going toward what I am explaining. Resources in this person’s area are scarce and we can no longer wait to see if these resources are going to do something to help. We must take matters into our own hands, time is running out.

There is a safe house several hundred miles away from where this person is currently residing.  This campaign will provide fuel and travel expenses to get to the safe house, allow the animals involved to stay with their human, feed this person and get them to safety. In the best interest of the situation, I have tagged the location of this campaign in my zip code. The area our friend is in is extremely remote, adding to the urgency of current state of affairs.

As a woman who has had to flee herself, I cannot express the exigency this person is in.  We need to generate funds immediately to get them moving before the end of this week.

We are beyond thankful for everyone who has taken the time to read the few details we are able to provide and we have gratitude for your trust during this process.
