Additional  background on study and team added below:

Use of Funds:
Seeking standard publication submission fees to publish a large expert developed flea and tick study with a core focus on "isoxazoline adverse reactions"  in a top veterinary journal. This is the first time results pre and post isoxazoline administration data have been summarized and the results are ground breaking!

The end goal of the publication is to educate dog owners, veterinarians, regulatory agencies of the long-lasting side effects of the new class of flea and tick medication,  "isoxazolines" (Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica, Credelio), which entered the market only 5 years ago.

Who is the Project Jake Team?

Team Name:
Project Jake is named after a 10 month old German Shepherd who developed a series of symptoms  24 hours post his initial dose of Bravecto. Now at 3 years old, he is on 16 pills per day (prescription and supplements) for  neurological, thyroid, pancreatic and GI issues.  It was like a "switch" after his 1st dose.  He nearly died 3 times due to his inability to drink and eat due to brain inflammation confirmed by MRI. He was kept alive with IV's for 3 weeks and once stabilized, we set out to find "answers" for this devastating impact to him and his family. Jake is now a disabled fur child who will probably not live a full life. But at least he is alive, as many, many animals do not make it. See video attached, when he started walking again!

Who is the team?
The team is comprised of a cross-functional team of experts in:

-Veterinary and Human Medicine-
including clinical hematology, immunology, clinical pathology, biochemistry, toxicology, and holistic veterinary medicine.
-Data and survey design
-Being the "voice" for the "pet" members of our families

Background on study:

-Isoxazolines exhibit killing activity through effects on the insect nervous system.
-Marketed isoxazolines minimally mention seizures or other neurotoxic effects.
-These effects, including death, are not insect-specific.
-Current registered isoxazolines claim either an adequate safety margin for canine and feline administration and that the mechanism of action is insect-specific.

Team was formed and tasked with the following goals:

*Understand current safety profile of isoxazolines by evaluating:
  *EMA reportable adverse events
  *FDA reportable adverse events
*Create a survey to objectively gather feedback from US veterinarians and pet owners following administration of isoxazolines
  * Compare survey results with EMA and FDA adverse events reports
  * Communicate similarities and disparities of the survey with reported adverse events with scientific and regulatory agencies

Once published, pet owners will now become more aware and hopefully the lawmakers who govern flea and tick medication side effects in pets will take notice.

There has been countless TV news reports reporting on single events. This is is the first ever data publication on over 2700 dogs.

The total cost of the fees to the journal is $4200 and this team of experts is comprised of globally renown veterinarians, veterinary toxicologists, biochemists, etc and tapped in terms of funds to carry this 2 year old data accumulation study across the goal line.

Can you pls help, even if $5. Every penny and day counts as time is of essence!

Thank you!
The Project Jake Team:)
