Robotics Team 987 at Cimarron-Memorial High School in Las Vegas, NV is designing and fabricating their 2017 robot, Blackout, for international competition.

This year, Because of our continuous efforts in spreading the awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to people of all ages, our team became the 22nd team inducted into the FIRST Robotics Hall of Fame.  Our Hall of Fame status has made us eligible for the World Championship in Houston, TX April 18-22. There is a $5000 entry fee,  $2000 to ship our robot and tools, and $21000 in travel expenses for our team to make it to Championship.

We have raised some of the funds needed and plan to continue to fundraise in the community as much as possible.  Any funds not raised will fall to the responsibility of individual families, limiting the students by their socioeconomic status. If you want to support some of the most motivated young engineers in Las Vegas please help us to raise money to offset the cost for our team. It would make a huge difference to us, and our families!

If you are interested but cannot help at this time please
help spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other Social Media outlets.
