Hello,
My name is Danielle and I am a Special Education teacher at one of the South Jersey Y.A.L.E. School locations which serves students with special needs. On December 3, 2017 one of the students in my classroom, a beautifully special 11-year-old girl named Condoleeza, and her family went through a life changing event. A fire broke out in their apartment during early morning hours claiming the life of her father, Glenn, and leaving her mother, Donna, and her in critical, but stable, condition. Condoleeza suffered second degree burns on her face and hands. Her mother used her own body to shield and protect Condoleeza from the flames, and suffered more severe burns to her face and arms. As you can imagine, this was devastating news to their family, friends, and to those of us at Y.A.L.E.
Right before Christmas, Condoleeza has lost her father and all of her personal belongings, but both her and her mother are very blessed to be alive. Thankfully, mom and Condoleeza are expected to pull through and the family is taking it day by day. Right now we want nothing more than to stand by this family and do whatever we can to help raise money to assist with medical expenses, funeral costs, replacing lost items, providing a Christmas, and anything else they may need at this difficult time. The Y.A.L.E. School Family has started this gofundme account that we are going to keep open until December 20 and would appreciate it more than you know if you could share it on any social media outlet you have! On December 20 we will close the account and take whatever is raised and present it to the family. Please help us show support to this family, as they have a long road ahead of them, by not only sharing this page, but also contributing. When the community comes together the possibilities are endless and right now this family needs a lot of love and support. They would appreciate any donation, acts of kindness, and prayers during this difficult time.
