Fire devastates the Johnson family

Donation protected
Dick Johnson's farm in Nelson County, Virginia caught fire on Sunday, February 5th sometime around midnight. Sindal, one of the family dogs, alerted the Johnson family to the fire and potentially saved their lives.

Even though everyone came out unharmed, the family lost nearly everything they have worked for all their life. Some items lost include farm equipment (3 tractors), thousands of pounds of animal feed, several vehicles, appliances, several freezers filled with food as well as many irreplaceable items. Charlie Johnson lost his house on the farm and everything in it, including his dentures. The only thing he has left are the clothes on his back.

Imagine working your entire life to build a farm that you loved and to have it all taken away in just a few hours. This is a family that has fostered children and animals and has given back to others time and time again. They are always there for others in times of need and will lend a hand no matter what the situation.

The Johnson's are now the family in need so I am hoping  the community will reach out and show them that there are people who care. Please share this with anyone that you think could make a difference.
