Fiona's Vet Bills

Donation protected
Last week my mare Fiona got her legs stuck upside down in her paddock. She lacerated the full length of her lower right hind leg down to the bone. Some of the periosteum of her bone was removed during her struggle to break free. She also ruptured her peroneus tertius in her left hind leg and tore a section off the gaskin muscle of that leg. We all thought we were going to lose her that day, but somehow her wounds weren't immediately fatal. Thankfully, Fiona has been fighting to become healthy again. But it will be a long road...3-4 months recovery IF the damaged bone in her right hind leg survives. Dr. Sears and the Connecticut Equine Clinic team have been phenomenal in giving Fiona the best care. Despite the chance that she still may not make it, Dr. Sears has high hopes that she will make a full recovery from her injuries. Every additional day with such a sweet horse is a blessing. Any financial support, no matter how small, to ensure Fiona's complete and quick recovery would make a huge difference. Please donate to support her recovery!
