Finn's TPLO Surgery
Donation protected
On April 22nd, 2019 Finn went about his normal day. Playing and frolicking with his two high energy sisters. As the day progressed and I got home from work I noticed a limp beginning to form. My initial thoughts were "Oh he just laid on it funny" but for a dog that sleeps most of the day...that had never happened. The night progressed and I watched as my 120lb dog had difficulties standing and walking. The limp grew worse and my heart sank.
He screams and I awake at 3 AM as he's almost unable to get up from his bed. I held him up by his collar as we walked down the hallway to the backyard so he could go use the restroom. When I took him to the vet on April 23rd, 2019 the diagnosis came back as a cranial cruciate ligament tear. As us humans better know, he tore his ACL. The vet informed that his knee was literally hanging by a thread, developing arthristis, and would require surgery. After further examination, his other knee has developed arthritis and is prone to the same tear. The TPLO surgery ranges anywhere from $2,500 to $5,500 per knee. For all of his diagnosis I've already paid $500.
Finn is only a three year old Saint Bernard and Labrador Retriever mix. I am not one to ask for financial help, but for this I do ask for help. Finn is my first fur child, and hold a special place in my heart. This is a procedure that will be done. All of the donations I receive will 100% go to his medical bills. Any funds that I do not end up using will be donated to the animal hospital and local shelters.
Thank you for all the help. If you cannot donate please share.
Much love,
Stephanie & Finn.
