Hi, everyone. The families of Forrest Sanco and Donna Grant have created this account, strictly to raise funding to continue our private search and rescue efforts. For anyone unfamiliar with our situation, Forrest and Donna departed the US on Sept 25, 2017, bound for Rum Cay, Bahamas, for their wedding and honeymoon vacation. They did not return to their home in Ft. Worth, TX, as expected; their last known whereabouts are departing North Eleuthera, Bahamas, airport the afternoon of September 26, 2017.
Due to extreme difficulty coordinating search and rescue efforts between the Royal Bahamian Defense Force and the US Coast Guard (due to the sovereignty of Bahamian waters), paired with the current lack of resources in the area due to hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, the families have turned to hiring private pilots to continue our search for Forrest and Donna. We, Forrest and Donna's family and friends, must continue searching until we find something; we must have closure.
We ask that you please consider donating to our search and rescue fund, ALL monies donated to this gofundme account, will be used ONLY to fund our search and rescue efforts. The daily cost of sending our pilot up is $1,500.00. Our pilot is providing a discounted rate as compared to other pilots in the area; his rates cover mainly aircraft fuel and maintenance.
**In addition, a fundraising account has been established at a local bank in Tahlequah, OK, where Forrest and Donna met, and where Donna's family resides, for anyone wishing to contribute in person, by mail or telephone, or for anyone preferring to donate without the use of gofundme.**
