Final expenses for 3 y/o Benjamin

A 3-year-old boy has died from injuries after being hit by an SUV in south Wichita.

It happened at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of East Pawnee, near the intersection of Pawnee and Hydraulic.  The boy got out of the family's minivan at a convenience store at that location and started running across the parking lot.

Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said a 32-year-old woman driving a pickup struck the boy. Police at the scene Wednesday night said the driver did not see the boy. They described what happened as "a terrible accident."
