My Journey with Cancer
My journey with cancer is as real as the prick of a pin in your skin. Since the
diagnosis my life has not been the same. I was diagnosed in 2012 and since have done
two surgeries and radiotherapy. This has been followed with doctor’s appointments,
biopsies, CT Scans, various x-rays, tests, chemotherapy and on-going blood works.
In 2015 I experience a period of remission but this was short lived as by about
December 2015 the disease resurfaced and in May 2018 I was again diagnosed with
Metastatic Breast Cancer (Stage IV).
This unwelcomed alien has taken residence in my body and is raging war against my
precious life and existence. Every area of my life has been affected including my job.
You may well recognize by now that this treatment is on-going and will be indefinite
until progression is made.
Due to the long-term nature of this treatment, coupled with the fact that it is also
expensive, your support and financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any
