This is Baylee Bo. Just weeks before what was her 1st Christmas, her mommy took her to the doctor's feeling under the weather. Dec 9th... an oridnary Friday, became a day that would change their lives forever, as doctors delivered news they NEVER saw coming. Baylee was more than a little sick, she had Leukemia.
Cancer. Really? How can that be? She's just a baby. Cancer.... a word no one wants hear, and every parent fears. And the fear was real, the prognosis not in her favor because of her age. The next 5 1/2 weeks were spent in the hospital poking and proding, enduring transfusions, starting chemo, scheduling surgeries to extract bone marrow and test spinal tap fluid. Extremely long days, and even longer sleepless nights caring for sweet Baylee Bo.
As news spread to family and friends, so many people have reached out to ask how they can help. All the prayers, loving messages, dinners, visits, and the generous amounts of leave time that Danny's co-workers selflessly donated have been appreciated. Thank you can't even begin to relay the immense gratitude Danny and Crystal have for all the love they've been shown in their time of need.
Let's keep that LOVE going. Baylee's fight with Leukemia will be a long road. With the help of family and friends' generousity, the goal is to lessen the stress and worry that inevitably comes along with how to make ends meet in times of crisis. How to cover the cost of COBRA benefits & the medical bills while Crystal is out of work, needing to be by Baylee's side everyday. How to juggle the new reality of life and brace for the unforseen obstacles and possible setbacks that may lie ahead. How to balance the responsiblities of being a parent and being available for your two older children's needs and schedules, and all the while fight like hell to help your sweet baby girl in the biggest fight of her little life!
