Katie's Fight Againt Cancer

On March 25th, 2017 my sister Katie was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It was not anything she expected and of course it was a shocking, life-changing diagnosis. She is still adjusting to the news but in all honestly she is a fighter by nature so she has been hopeful and will continue to be hopeful as we all move forward together to fight this.
After tests and biopsy her diagnosis was invasive ductal carcinoma. She is only 36 and has apparently had the tumors for over 5 years without knowing or anyone detecting them.
Her treatment plan will be 6 months of chemotherapy 1x every 3 weeks for the first 4 treatments and then once a week for the following treatments, a mastectomy (possible double mastectomy) in September, and then radiation therapy through Feb. 2018.
We are raising money to help support her during this difficult time and we ask that you join us as well to help her fight for her life. We are greatful for any support no matter how big or small. The money will be used for tests, scans, chemo, other misc. medications, radiation and surgery. It will also be used to off set costs during her time off of work!
For those of you who don't know Katie, she has a spirit that is larger than life. She is so positive, optimistic, and full of life. She loves to laugh and be surrounded by friends and family. She is my rock and know I need to be hers. This is a difficult time for all of us but her hopeful perspective is what keeps us going!
