Hello everyone,
Some of you may know me and some of you may not, however, the person I'd like you to meet is my sweet, intelligent labrador, Marble. About 5 years ago I met marble at an adoption weekend in Orlando, FL. She was so small and so shy. She kind of hid in the back while all the other puppies fought for attention. I looked at her and I knew, there was so much more to this dog. She had a personality that was worth getting to know.
Today, I am afraid Marble is in dire need. She has been diagnosed with Pyometra, a uteran infection. This type of infection can cause the uterus to expand painfully with pus and blood until it eventually ruptures. If this happens Marble can suffer from sepsis, which will inevitably lead to her death.
She has been prescribed some medication by the Veterinarian, however, she will ultimately need surgery to remove her uterus completely. As most people are aware, vet surgeries are pretty expensive as they come. The total cost of the surgery is about $1100 but I'm asking for $600 dollars in help towards Marble's surgery and recovery costs.
I'm exhausting all of my options and I am afraid Marble's time is running out. We have about a week's worth of medicine left. Please, if you are reading this, know that this dog is as close as it comes to true love in my life. She is the reason I'm happy to come home after a long day at work. She helps me through all my sadness and pain. Every night she is the last thing I see and every morning she is the first thing I see. Anything you can give is a TREMENDOUS help.
