We have a club at Fifer Middle called Business Professionals of America (BPA). Each year members of this illustrious club attend monthly meetings, sit on committees, participate in both community service projects and fundraisers, as well as compete in various BPA-sponsored events.
State Leadership Conference
In late February, students from 25+ schools across Delaware competed in the BPA State Leadership Conference. At Fifer Middle we had our best year ever with seven students placing in various events, including three state champions! The winning events were:
Business Fundamentals- State Champion
Business Math- 5th place
Extemporaneous Speech- 2nd place
Graphic Design Promotion- 2nd place
Keyboarding Production- State Champion, 3rd place, 5th place
Prepared Speech- State Champion
National Leadership Conference
The National Leadership Conference is taking place this year in Anaheim, CA and we need your help to be able to go. At this conference the best students from across the U.S. will gather together for competitions, workshops, and community service and networking opportunities.
The Need
It is great having so many winners this year, but that also means we need to raise more money than ever before. There have been local fundraisers throughout the year with three more still on the schedule and it still won't be enough.
The National Leadership Conference is a wonderful experience for students. They learn so much and make take part in so many memorable activities. If you would like to learn more about the NLC you can head to www.bpa.org/nlc
