***I have changed our goal for Kimberly's funeral to $5500. That will include the funeral service, casket, purchasing the burial plot and burial. This was so sudden we were not prepared for this kind of expense. Any amount will help and is so very greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your donations.***
Life as my family knows it took a sudden turn Saturday, April 22, for the worse. My baby sister, Sharon, lost her only daughter yesterday. My 29 year old niece, Kimberly, died suddenly in the hospital of ARDS ( Acute Respiratory Distess Syndrome). She had been hospitalized due to pneumonia. Doctors told us yesterday that she could recover from this, but several hours later during a change of her vent, she coded. They worked on her 40 minutes, but couldn't get her back. She was gone.
Kimberly leaves a loving family who is now struggling trying to come up with a way to bury our sweet girl. We need a funeral for her, and our family doesn't have the money. We have no other options to bury her. Kimberly still lies in the morgue in the hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
I come here asking would you consider helping in any way you can to put Kimberly to rest. We will leave this fund up until we collect the money to pay for the funeral in full.
