Supporting Scott Swartz

Scott Swartz, age 34, of Frazeysburg, OH, was the unfortunate recipient of 19,900 volts of electric current, while performing his lineman duties on 8/20/15. He has worked for AEP for ~15 years. He is a loyal worker & loves his job. He has a wonderful girlfriend & an amazing little girl, both whom he loves dearly. As a result of his near fatal accident, he went into cardiac arrest & required other co-linemen to perform CPR. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was flown by medical helicopter to the OSU Wexner Hospital facility. The voltage is thought to have entered through his thigh & exited through his great toe. The extent of leg damage is still unknown, but some degree of lower extremity amputation is anticipated due to the internal damage. Although Scott is doing very well for the electrocution that he endured, there are still many unknowns. He will remain hospitalized for ~1 week @ the least. His duration of time out of work is uncertain. His family is very involved & spending as much time w/ him as possible. There will be many obvious & less obvious expenses that will quickly accrue for Scott & his family, so any monetary help is greatly appreciated.
