Femme Noire's New production

Hey! I'm Sistah Don, a burlesque performer and the Founder/Producer for Femme Noire. Femme Noire is a contemporary burlesque dance company, that focuses on highlighting Black, Indigenous, and POC burlesque performers. We have been performing as a collective for 3 years, and every experience gets better. As a DIY company, we make our own costumes and props using materials at our disposal.


This season we are really excited to put on a brand new production that we’ve been planning on for a while! We are putting together an immersive burlesque storytelling experience. We’ve enlisted a writer, a body paint artist, and are premiering brand new choreography. For this production to be successful we will need to upgrade our lighting, costuming, and stage crew.


That’s where our lovely supporters come in. With your support this will be our largest production yet! Our goal is $1,200. Once we reach it we will be able to fund our lighting and sound rentals, costumes, and our body paint artist. In order to properly document this experience, we will also hire a photographer and videographer. Our deadline to meet our fundraising goal is May 11th.
