Horses & Animals Affected By IRMA

I am Lisa Hutchinson, founder of Gaited Horses All Disciplines, Trail, Rail & Performance on Facebook.  

We started this originally to help with Felix Gomez expenses in evacuating his 3 horses, including a 2 week old filly to safety from Hurricane Irma.

Felix Gomez of Riverview, Fl  is a friend and member of our group .  Facing a change in Irma's expected path he needed to get his gelding, mare and 2 week old foal out of the barn that was unable to withstand Hurricane Irma.  Members of the group stepped up searching for a solution and his horses have been picked up by Heather & Johnny McKeehan.  They were transported with their horses the next morning to the Florida State Fairgrounds. Heather and Johnny have  incurred thousands in expenses to take care of their horses in expenses over and above what they can charge clients.

Update 9/12/2017.  We have updated the amount of this Go Fund Me to $3,000.00 to cover Heather & Johnny's overage and due to a situation that has surfaced after they were contacted by a former client 
 to take care of over 100 animals that were abandoned before the storm. The animals are horses, pigs & goats that were left with no food or water and were left in pens & tied to trees.  They have already found 1  horse dead and have bought 10 bags of feed.  Here is their story:
