Feeding Families after Michael

My name is Trista Sisk. (Owner of JTL Events. Based out of Saint Petersburg Florida)  On October 11th, my boyfriend and myself loaded up our car with 30 cases of water and headed up the coast to hand out water to those who chose to stay behind after the panhandle was evacuated due to Hurricane Michael. Our 5-hour trip took us a little over 16 hours due to road conditions. Trees and power lines were down as far as the eye could see. Homes were upside down, literally. Cars were smashed, and people and pets were left to wonder the streets or more so, what was left of what they used to call home. The level of destruction goes far passed anything that you see on the news. The town of Mexico Beach has been wiped off the face of the map. We were able to get to the city and deliver our water before the police issued a mandatory curfew and a city-wide exploration ban. If you are not a first responder or law enforcement officer, you cannot pass through the barricade to enter what is left of the town.


After seeing the devastation and destruction, we have decided to partner with The HoneyBaked Ham company to try to get food to these devastated families for the upcoming holidays. Partnering with HoneyBaked ham allows us to provide hams and turkeys and side dishes  (already cooked) to those that lost everything.  2 million homes have been destroyed between Florida, Georgia and Alabama. That is 2 million families that won’t have a kitchen to cook. Losing out on family traditions due to tragedy is something that I feel can be privented. Please help us feed them. 

We know that we won't be able to rebuild ever house by the time that the holidays roll around, but we can at least give them food. We are asking that everyone donate. Every single penny counts, and we want to help as many families as we can.
