Donation protected
For the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I am raising money for the starving children in Yemen. My Yemeni friend and English teaching colleague Ahmed Al-Quadhi who has started a non-profit in his home country of Yemen called SYS- Support Yemeni Society aimed at redeveloping war torn areas and rebuilding lives in the Sana area of Yemen. I have been friends with Ahmed for over five years. He has been an invaluable resource to the TESOL community as he has administrated TESOL Yemen for years.  I am volunteering to help SYS with their campaign.

Mission statement of organisation:

SYS (Support Yemeni Society) is a humanitarian, development, non-governmental and non-profit organization. It seeks an effective contribution to the Yemeni people in need with a sustainable and comprehensive development that maintains human dignity. The philosophy of SYS is based on justice, equality and human dignity, through cooperation and partnership with local and international organizations. It faces technical and technological updates for pioneering, local, and international distinction.

Per meal costs for per student = $. 50 cents - Total cost per day for 1000 school girls =$500 - Total cost for seven days = $3500, Total cost for three weeks = $10,500.

SYS will organize and oversee the purchase and distribution of food in Sana's school district with local volunteers.

I care very much for my friend Ahmed and his lovely family. I ask that you please help us raise money for the starving children in his area during this holiday season.

Please see the SYS Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/SYS.Yemen.Org/

I promise you that your donations will go directly to the starving people in need. Because of the political and logistical difficulties in Yemen, I will be collecting all funds through my bank account and then sending them directly to Ahmed via Western Union. I have done this in the past with him for another fundraiser that I did for his children a few years back. I can assure you that the transaction is safe and that he will deliver every donation  to the children in need.

If if you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you!
