Mike Simons Memorial Fund

Tax deductible
This fundraising site has been set up in memory of Mike. Per Mike's family's request all money raised will go to support National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of South Dakota to increase awareness and support for those battling PTSD.
On Sunday, November 8th, Mike's heart stopped after going into V-fib. They were able to restart Mike's heart and he was transported from Miller to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. After a few days of sedation, observation, testing and countless prayers it was determined that Mike would never wake up. Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow Soldiers he passed away minutes after Veterans Day. Mike was a loving brother, son, and friend to many. Blessed be his memory!

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 with a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at the St. Lawrence Community Church. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Miller Armory. Lunch will follow at the Miller Community Center. Burial will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights with full military honors.
