Rhonda Rowe ~ Cherished by so many

A day has come that no one could ever fully prepare for. On October 2, 2014 a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend departed from our world. Rhonda Rowe was known for her love she bestowed on her children, her family and her friends. She was known for her loving nature and her willingness to help anyone and everyone. Anyone that knew Rhonda knew that she had the ability to light a room with just her presence. Her time here on Earth has been cut short, but the memories she left us will last an eternity.  On behalf of  her family I have set up this fund to help with this time of unexpected expenses.  Any monetary contribution would be greatly appreciated and used to help her family lay her to rest. Most importantly please share your memories of Rhonda. If you are reading this please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. We have lost a beautiful soul and will mourn her passing, but we should never forgot the lives she touched, the memories she left behind or the love she gave.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.    ~Psalm 18:2

As we all know the recent tragic passing of our friend Rhonda Rowe has been devasting to say the least. In any situation of this nature we all ask what do we do now. The day following her death, I spoke with her mother Anita Clements Frazier and shared my desire to share Rhonda's story in hopes of saving someone else. Anita was open to the idea and very supportive. I have publicly made it know my personal desire to do just that. The amount of support I have received from her family, friends and complete strangers is touching. We all feel the need to do our part to raise awareness, to share the story of an amazing woman, to help educate and offer support to anyone that may be the victim of domestic violence. On November 1st many of us will be participating in a 5k walk/run in Charlottesville hosted by Shelter for Help in Emergency. We will join together that day to help raise awareness and to walk in memory of our dear friend Rhonda. Casey Haynes called in today to register and was advised that we should make our outfits noticeable. Ideas have been thrown around as to what noticeable could mean. Tutus, face painting, ribbons, personalized shirts, crazy socks, hair paint, bunny ears just to name a few. Since our shirts provided by the event won`t be available until the 31st it has been suggested that you purchase an additional shirt to decorate for the day of the race. As always these are just suggestions and by no means do you have to do any of the above suggested ideas. In order to prepare for our race day and to have a general workshop meeting so other ideas and future events can be discussed everyone interested is invited to Anita's home on October 18th at 6:30p.m., even if you are not participating in the race you are still welcome to come. We ask that you bring any crafting materials and a finger food to share. This is what we hope to be just one of many gatherings to come. If you are interested and would like to join us please message me so I can give the address. Lets join together, in memory of a beautiful soul, with the goal to help raise awareness of domestic violence, sharing Rhonda's story and being her voice.
As always my sincere gratitude for reading yet another one of my lengthly post & being a large part of my reason to continue.

Often times when a loved one passes the first thing that is said is "how will we ever continue on?". The loss of someone so dear as Rhonda Rowe was to us all, leaves voids in lives that seem so significant that it is unbearable to continue on. That was my first reaction Thursday night, how was life ever going to be the same. After laying Rhonda to rest today and witnessing such an honoring celebration for her, I realized that we have lost a dear friend, but she will always continue to be our friend, I believe that in the coming days new friendships will be made, bonds so strong that they will change lives. Today's service was touching to say the least. The love was so strong in that room today, I know she felt it all the way in Heaven. I know she was with us today and I know she will be with us tomorrow and everyday after that, she lives within us. She leaves behind a legacy, memories that will last a lifetime. No matter what the world is like, she is proof that there is good, that love can overcome anything. Can you say thank you too many times? I can't thank everyone enough, thank you for showing me that even though I thought I couldn't continue, I now know I can. To feel the love that has been shown these past days to her family is indesribeable. I would have done anything to ease their pain, to bring her back, but my hands were tied. I did the only thing I could do, I prayed for God to give us the strength and courage to make it thru. I prayed for him to comfort us. My strength and courage grew each time a kind word was said to the family, each time a memory was shared with them, and each time a smile was given. I was comforted by their smiles as they heard stories and memories of Rhonda's life from those she touched. Thank you from the bottom of heart, thank you for showing me I can continue.
