Ride For Hope

Hope Therapy is a 501(c)3 non-profit program that provides therapeutic riding and occupational therapy to children and adults with special needs using horses. Started in 2001 in Middleburg by a mother and daughter team, it is the only nationally accredited program in Northeast Florida with PATH Intl (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International). Hope Therapy provides therapy services to individuals with a variety of special needs including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, developmental delays, autism, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, down syndrome, and more. Hope Therapy also has a program for veterans with PTSD. Our mission is 'to improve the quality of life for children and adults with special needs using equine-assisted activities and therapy (EEAT)'.

Over the years we have seen miraculous progress in our patients using this special therapy! Our fall 2018 Fundraiser is an afternoon out at Amelia Island State Park at Kelly Seahorse Ranch. We need donations to sponsor our dedicated volunteers and veterans for the beach ride on horseback. Each rider is trying to raise $500 to participate in the beach ride, and that is quite a difficult task. We would like to raise $2000 to sponsor 2 veterans and 2 volunteers so that they may participate in this once in a lifetime experience!
