Father injured, help for family

I have had the priviledge to teach the daughter of this family, McKenzie, in Girl Scouts for 5 years now. She has been raised in an honorable and well mannered family of 5. She is one of my own. Her Mother, Rachel, came to me and asked if I would be able to pick her daughter up and drop her off for scouts for a lengthly period of time. Months. I do it here and there anyways...I absolutely will do that...no problem! I questioned the length of time though, and asked "what is going on!?" and was met with this response.
Prelude to now's issue.
They have never asked for assistance...both she and her husband, Michael, work extra jobs, she herself works nights because it pays a few extra dollars. Their kids are always fed, they have clean clothes and have full hearts as a family. Even when a few years ago the father was hurt horribly on the job getting his hand sucked into a saw and cut off his 3 fingers and part of his hand...resulting in lost work, lost fundage to keep their truck and forcing them to have the mother take on another job to pay bills. Thru that time they never let anyone know the struggle.
This time however, I pushed for an answer. I needed to know what was up. She explained that her husband had been walking the dogs by the rail road ties by their home in the evening, and not seeing a broken picket fence stuck in the tie...he tripped on it, fell backwards and when trying to right himself heard a snap and fell back forwards. Thinking that it was the wood fence making the snap...he didn't realize it was his ankle that had rotated completely around and broke.
He will be off his foot a minimum of 12wks...they are not sure of the outcome and damage. They were waiting on doctors response to just the visual of the situation. They have no idea the extent of the longterm. He will loose his job, they will be short an income and have a tight set of next few months. She did not ask for anything from me except I help get her daughter so she wouldn't miss out. Now I have a mission!
This is the thing about paying things forward and passing unconditional love to others. When it is completely unknown the extent of pain and suffering going on...and without throwing judgement on what could be done...and only to pass love and help along. What an amazing gift! They are unaware of this effort I am doing. I would love to see thier cupboards full, for the kids to have the holidays despite the struggle, for the parents to have gas money back and forth to the apts and hospital where he will live for a while. That there would be kindess shown to them that they have never seen or been given...all out of love!
I already have a few gals that are wanting to help me get food boxes for both the main Holidays coming up. I am willing to come pick up donations, or help get them things. They do have a 9yr old girl, and 10 & 11 yr old sons. They would be so blessed to recieve anything as they are again, unaware of this gift effort. They are a wonderful family and have been so hard at doing things alone. I would love to overwhelm them this season.
If there was someone whom you wanted to gift to on your own, or with a group or to anything...do it this season or anytime. It doesn't need to be a holiday...just help fill a need when you see it come up. It doesn't always haven't be money...The happy heart you feel afterwards and their tears of joy can never be replaced♡
