Farewell Send-Off for Our Brother, Brian Wambaa

We, the Family and Friends of Brian Njuguna Wambaa, are saddened by the news of his sudden and tragic passing. We want to honor his life and legacy properly with an honorable farewell.
As most or all of you know, Brian was a lover of life, family, and anyone that crossed his path. At 25, he had lived quite a fulfilled life; making sure to stop and smell the roses because as he would say, "Enjoy life, it's beautiful."
Since moving to the United States at age 11, besides his love of family and friends, Brian found his love as an athlete. His childhood successes in soccer and track led to being awarded a scholarship at Tacoma Community College. Brian's speed and skills made him a popular player for many teams to have on their roster. In the last 7 years, he proudly played for the Kenyan Team, Umoja FC along with other clubs. Besides earning the title of MVP as a player, he was also a mentor to many young adults to better their skills and help enrich their own lives to better serve their community.
Brian met his death early Monday morning, March 25, 2019, as he was returning home from visiting his sister, brother-in-law, and nephew in Portland. Sunday afternoon, after attending church, he decided to pay them a visit. On his way home, his vehicle veered off the freeway and struck a tree. He escaped the crash site to seek help, yet unfortunately found himself on the freeway where he was struck by an oncoming truck. According to first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It goes without saying that Brian will be sorely missed by his parents, siblings, cousins, aunties, uncles, and the worldwide community that knew him. Brian had a brilliant smile that lit up a room. His endless positivity could encourage a weary spirit. His absence will leave a mark that can never be filled. Though he may be in a better place, we all wish that he would still be here with us all.
The Celebration of Life arrangements are still being deliberated upon by family and friends. Thank you kindly for your support through prayers and well wishes.
