Fanuta Amare left a mark on the Peace Corps Volunteers that met her during their service in her town, Injibara. A friendly, intelligent, caring individual, Fanuta has worked very hard to do better for herself.
Fanuta applied and received the honor of being accepted to the Yale Young Global Scholar program in Conneticut for 2 weeks during the 2017 Summer. Due to her hard work and high grades she received a full-tuition scholarship and is only responsible for covering airfare and minor expenses.
We estimate her expenses to be the following:
$2,000 roundtrip airfare and travel expenses
$170 Visa
$400 incidentals/emergencies
$250 gifts for family/friends
Items requird by Yale:
$80 early arrival fee
$100 for laptop rental during camp
$100 US phone rental during camp
$100 keycard deposit
$25 bedsheets
