Some people think it's just because we never bothered to pay our bills. That is not the case at all. We were one of many surprised by billing errors made by Hydro One. We were surprised by a bill of close to $12,000.00. We stuck to a payment plan as outlined by Hydro One and got that enormous bill down to $3,000.00, but with monthly bills of close to $900.00 and payments of close to $890.00 per month (that's almost $1,800.00 per month), we just couldn't do it anymore. We had to decide whether to keep a roof over our heads and feed our children, or pay Hydro One. We were devastated.
Now Hydro One says they'll take our smart meter and the wires to our house away by December 14, 2016 if we can't pay our bill. To reinstall this equipment will cost thousands of dollars. We desperately need to pay this bill by December 14th, 2016. All donations will be directly applied to our Hydro One bill of $10,745.36 and we will provide updates.
We're so scared. The hardest thing for my husband and I is the unknown. Family is everything to us. Please know beyond a shadow of a doubt, any help you can give us is appreciated beyond words. Please help us. No one should go through what we've gone through. No one.
