Homeless Family And There Car

Our Family has suffered homelessness off and on for the past 4 years we have managed to meet alot of good people in this society and have managed to make it this far.
That is until we have started experiencing problems with the only thing we have left to our name which is the family car.
This car has gotten us everywhere we needed to go weather its to a shelter or a doctors appointment or even to find somewhere else where we can stay or maybe even sometimes we might even had to stay in the car.
But now that the family car is having problems which is the alternator.
We cant even do any of those things i've just named off .
I have currently been accepted for SSDI But untill everything is finalised and the papers are filed our family has no access to money nor do we have any friends or family that are able to help out financially.
In hopes of being fooled to thinking the county was going to help my family with housing we have been on a waiting list for all 4 of these years with them continuosly telling us to keep finding shelters to stay at.
Shelters low and behold only allow someone to stay for so long shocked me. So without our family car there is nothing else that needs to be said here.
