Family Support after Tragedy
Tragedy and loss can strike at any time. When it impacts a dear friend with an amazing family, we need to do what we can.
This military family experienced a sudden and life changing loss and I want to reach out to the community, near and far, to show them that we can and will support those who serve this country.
Julie is also a fellow photographer so let's show her that the photography community can rally and bring some light into her world. She and her four little ones will need it!
The financial impact that this young family of five will face over the long term is large so please donate anything you can. No amount is too small or too large.
Show your support for The Gayler Family. Julie and her most adorable kids need a collective hug from everyone out there.
My original plan to give Julie a check will no longer be possible. GoFundMe has a system in place that monitors the request for donations and they discovered that this fundraiser was not for me.
They placed the money "on hold" and Julie will DIRECTLY access the funds that you have donated for her and her family. This is a good thing and it means that I can't access your donations!
I love transparency and clear communication and that is why I am posting these screen captures. Your donations are safe and will make it to Julie.
Thank you for your continued support and our goal of $20k is only $3800 away.
I still think that we, as a community, can reach the goal of $20k by this Sunday.
I will withdraw the money and have my bank issue a check made out to Julie and then I will post a photo of this check here. Very few people that have donated actually know who I am and they have no reason to trust me but they have. I am humbled and appreciate this trust and I want to be as transparent as possible.
Thank you to all that have donated and thank you to all those that will.
Let's do this!
Compassion is a defining trait and characteristic. Today is your day to let everyone know just where you stand.
If you can't donate, and not everyone can, please share this campaign.
There is strength in numbers!
