Family of four ripped apart
Joe's life was unfortunately taken in a double homicide Friday January 27th 2017 during a medical marijuana transfer from patient to another patient, once Joe and his neighbor Tony arrived at the "thought to be safe Walmart parking lot" the suspects didn't have their medical marijuana cards and they decided to rob and kill my brother and tony. Joe had no criminal background and had his medical card due to his choice of not taking prescription pills to treat his pain in his knee that he has had multiple surgeries on. It's a complicated issue when it comes to possessing medical marijuana, your only allowed 2.5 ounces as a patient and anything your medical marijuana plant produces over 2.5 ounces you have to get rid of and that is called "overages" the state has not legalized a fast and safe way to get rid of the overages so this is a common way patients and caregiver's go about of doing so. Joe and tony were unfortunate and was contacted by 2 very evil people that's are very good at leading people to believe they are harmless and leading people to believe they are medical marijuana card holders. if I can give any advice on that subject it would be to just throw your overages away until the state comes up with a safe and easy way to go about doing so. Joe was a great father to my 6 year old niece and my 3 year old nephew and a loving husband to my sister kayla. Mallorie had a birthday party planned for her on Saturday but instead of doing her birthday party we were planning burial arrangements, also landyn Joe's son will be turning 3 on February 6th and now his loving father will not be there for any of his future birthdays. Words cannot describe our feelings right now. We are a really close family that's sticks together, Joe lost his dad a year ago and the only positive I can think of all of this tragedy is that he is now with his dad again who he loved so much. We usually don't ask for anything but we are at a time where we are financially unable to pay for another funeral in such short time, any donation would be greatly appreciated and we will be using the money for the funeral and we hope to pay some of Joe's wife's bills and anything she may need in the upcoming weeks. we will take the names and info of all the donors and thank you personally. Thank you so much from our heavy hearts
