Family in recovery lost everything

5 years ago my mother began rebuilding her life from years of addiction. In the beginning of her recovery she met an amazing man who I’m thankful to have as my step dad. My mom and Jim Lee have spent the past 4 years building a beautiful sober life for them and their children and grandchildren. They are planning a wedding this October and my mom is back in college. They both have touched countless hearts and directed countless people to recovery. Today on January 18th, my brothers birthday too, their house caught a blaze. They lost everything they had and had left. Jim Lee has suffered serious burn injuries but will make a full recovery in the future.
