We are HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op, a charter school that serves at-risk kids in K-12th grade throughout Colorado.
We are raising funds for our annual holiday charity called "Families In Need." This charity effort helps provide simple, yet thoughtful gifts to many of our at-risk students who would otherwise go without. Last year the program served 469 children. This year we have 582 children requesting assistance, with 280 wishes yet to be fulfilled!
We're seeking donors to help raise funds for this seasonal holiday program. Funds will be used to purchase the gifts for those K-12 students whose parents have made requests.
All funds must be in by Thursday, December 7, 2017 so we can immediately use donated funds to shop for items as needed. We only shop bargain stores and find miraculous ways to spread your donation as far as we can to directly bless more kids!
Many of our younger students are English Language Learners, most of our high school graduates are the first to graduate high school in their entire extended families. A majority of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and some students are homeless or unaccomanied minors.
Our gratitude is extended to all who care enough to make a contribution, but the real gratitude is shown on the faces of our K-12 students when they receive these gifts from anomymous donors. Their smiles and the thankful tears of their parents are overwhelming. Giving freely to those in need is what the holidays are all about!
