Fallout from Car Accident

The afternoon of 7/24/17 changed our lives forever.  I was on my home from running errands & was two blocks from our house when I was t-boned by a guy (in a commercial vehicle, no less) who ran a stop sign & pushed me into the other road.  Thankfully there was no traffic at the time, but my engine was immediately disabled upon impact & had he hit just a little further back I wouldn't be here.  The paramedics had to pry my car door open to get me out & rushed me to the hospital.  The damages were far worse than we had originally anticipated.  I have suffered spinal stenosis, encroachments, slipped discs, herniated discs an annular tear in my lumbar spine, Degenerative Disc Disease & now as of recent, Osteopenia (aka bone loss) at the age of 43.  I was in the middle of my Bachelor's degree for Criminal Justice with my concentration in Forensics & Criminology & have since had to drop out because I can no longer perform the requirements of said job.  I have had to go from a 40+ hour week down to just 15 hours a week because of my severe limitations: I can no longer sit & or stand for long periods of time, I cannot bend, crouch, lift anything over 10 lbs, (which includes my cats as they are both over 10 lbs., my daughter), I am unable to walk 1/8 mile before I'm in pain let alone actively play with my daughter the way she'd like, get out of the bed, off the couch or sadly at times, off the toilet or get out of the shower without help.  Our love life is almost non-existent & this has effected every aspect of our lives.  I was advised that spinal surgery is imminent & the doctors are trying to get me a cane/walker.  Spinal Injections & Physical Therapy have not been effective & every minutes brings about new challenges.  Some days are great, others...well not so much.  I have missed countless days from work because of the pain & inability to move.  I have been forced to apply for disability & am in the middle of a lawsuit for the accident.  Both of which are still pending.  I have consequently lost 2 cars as a result of this accident & then after nearly a year with no vehicle, had to purchase a used car with my entire tax refund, which turned out costing me more than it was worth.    

As a result of my reduction in hours, people owing us money & not making good on their promises, not yet receiving my ex-husband's tax return & only paying a measly $23.08/week (& not consistently at that)  we are unable to pay bills, I am negative in my account, my phone has been turned off, I can't pay for my hearing aids & all community resources have been exhausted.   We're already late for rent & have 2 weeks to come up with the money.  We are even out of food stamps for another 2 weeks.  My anxiety, depression & irritability are at an all time high & it's a daily struggle to get myself out of bed anymore, let alone perform my job duties or do much else.  I am so tired of fighting, so tired of this situation.  I am so ready to break free but despite my best efforts, keep hitting a brick wall.   Josh has been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type bipolar, anxiety, depression, PTSD, agoraphobia, severe nerve damage in his hand, & now his therapist is 99% sure that he has Aspergers (and is high functioning).
