Faith’s Story
This little dog either ran off or was dropped off in the New Geneva area and had been running around scared and hungry for over a week. Most likely scenario she was dumped off because after postings and contacts to local vet clinics there was no one looking for her. Plus add to the equation that she wasn’t spayed shows irresponsible pet ownership to begin with. Several attempts were made to catch her but succeeding didn’t come quickly enough. She was then seen once again... but this time with her mouth hanging wide open because her jaw bone was completely broken and detached. She was becoming weak and desperate at this point without even being able to take a drink of water and her capture was finally successful.

Apparently someone kicked her and shattered her jaw. Only a person with mental issues would kick an animal like this. If the guilty party is reading this please do yourself and everyone around you a favor and go get psychiatric help! If anyone has information on who did this please private message me. Your name will be kept confidential. It has to be someone living in that local area. It’s a proven fact that people who mistreat animals will eventually direct their anger toward a person as well. Don’t turn your back on animal abuse. Not reporting it is condoning it!!! Below are the pictures of how she was found with not being able to close her mouth and the pictures after Dr. Seiler at Paw Prints performed a complicated surgery involving plates and pins.

We decided to name her “Faith” because besides healing, her biggest hurdle will be to gain faith in people again after this ordeal she’s lived through. Faith would like to thank Janie Huey for not giving up and finally catching her, Dr. Seiler for the amazing surgery he did that’s giving her a second chance at life and Mountaineers for Mutts for getting her to rescue once she’s finished with vetting and is well enough to travel and be in route to her forever loving home.

This little gal costs our beloved Joyce Hegedis $3,000 in vet bills.  She does this out of love with cost of no concern.  Joyce has done the heavy lifting, let's rally to support her efforts....and Faith. :)
